Data Analyst
Data Analysts are responsible for collecting, processing, analysing and communicating raw data on humanitarian needs, gaps and requirements. Ensuring quality control and consistency of information is key to the profile of analysts. By translating complex analyses and high-volume data into simple, clear and accurate findings and products, analysts support effective and efficient humanitarian aid.
Data Analysts pay particular attention to detail and are able to prioritise tasks under tight deadlines.
Specific profile requirements for Data Analysts
- Preferably a university degree in social sciences, statistics, demography, geography or related field of study;
- Knowledge of humanitarian coordination and the UN system;
- Working experience in an international organisation is preferred;
- Sound knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, functions);
- Sound knowledge of SPSS, Epi Info, MS Access, Progress tools
General profile requirements
- Completed vocational training and/or studies (preferably in the professional profile for which you are applying);
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the desired professional profile in a humanitarian mission (or comparable);
- International experience (preferably in a crisis region);
- German citizenship;
- English language skills at level C1 and above;
- Further language skills at level B1 and above desirable (especially French, Spanish and Arabic);
- Availability for a deployment for at least six months;
- Travelling ability and tropical suitability.
